Prices, booking, gift cards
How much does an escape room at Escape City cost?
The price is per group and room and the same every day: 2 players CHF 99, 3 players CHF 135, 4 players CHF 164, 5 players CHF 190, 6 players CHF 210. With six players that is CHF 35 per person.
Can two people play, and what does it cost?
Yes, all six rooms work for two players; the room costs CHF 99. Two players solve every puzzle themselves, so it is the most intense way to play.
We are more than 6 people. Is that possible?
Yes. A maximum of 6 people play per room, but our six rooms run in parallel, so up to 36 players at the same time. The bar & lounge seats around 100, and a meeting room can be booked separately.
How do I book and pay?
You book online via the room pages and pay directly when booking, several rooms at once if you like. Gift cards are redeemed during booking. For events with apéro, cake or meeting room use the request form on the event pages.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Online you pay directly when booking; on site at the bar by card, contactless or cash. We accept all common payment methods.
Are there discounts, e.g. for students, kids or groups?
No. The price is the same for everyone: CHF 99 for 2 up to CHF 210 for 6 players, whether students, kids, companies or multiple bookings. It only gets cheaper per head the bigger the team, from CHF 35 per person with 6 players.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Room bookings: free of charge up to 48 hours before the slot, up to 4 hours before in exchange for a voucher of the same value, later or in case of no-show the full price is due. Events and corporate bookings: free up to 7 days before, 7 to 3 days before 50 percent, under 3 days 100 percent. Details are in our terms and conditions.
How does the gift card work?
Gift cards are available for 2 to 6 players (CHF 99 to CHF 210), arrive by e-mail within minutes and are valid for all six rooms. The recipient picks room and time online.
Age, kids and families
Is there an age limit?
The minimum age is 12. Children under 12 play only accompanied by an adult in the room; the adult counts as a full player and is charged the regular price. For The Ring we recommend an age of 16 and up.
Is there a room for children from 8?
Yes. Children from 8 play together with an adult in the room. Ninja Turtles, Titanic and Star Wars are the rooms we recommend for younger players.
Which room is suitable for children and kids' birthdays?
Ninja Turtles (difficulty 6 of 8), Star Wars (5 of 8) and Titanic (4 of 8) are our family rooms; Titanic is the gentlest start. The Ring is a horror room and not suitable for children. Packages with cake and a lounge for parents are on the kids' birthday page.
Are the rooms scary for children?
Ninja Turtles, Titanic and Star Wars are our family rooms and have no jump scares. Houdini is demanding but not scary. Resident Evil has no jump scares either, but is set in a dark thriller setting with blood; younger children may find it frightening. The Ring is a horror room and not suitable for children.
Can parents wait on site?
Yes. Parents sit in the bar & lounge with around 100 seats while the kids play. Free parking is in front of the building.
Horror, fear and limits
How scary is The Ring?
The Ring is our horror room with darkness and jump scares, difficulty 7 of 8. We recommend it from 16 and only for players who enjoy being scared. All other rooms are adventure, thriller or family rooms.
Can we leave the room at any time?
Yes, at any time. The game master follows your game via camera and audio and opens the door immediately if you want; one word is enough. Nobody is in the room against their will.
Is an escape room possible with claustrophobia?
Our rooms are themed but not cramped, the door opens at any time and the game master is always reachable. If in doubt start with Titanic or Ninja Turtles and tell the game master before the game.
Can I play an escape room while pregnant?
In general, yes: our puzzles require no physical strength and you can leave the room at any time. We advise against the horror room The Ring, which has jump scares. If in doubt, give us a quick call.
How it works
How long does a game take, and when should we arrive?
Playing time is 60 minutes plus a short briefing. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start; our schedule is tight because the rooms are booked back to back.
What happens if we don't escape in time?
We give hints so that you get through. If the time runs out, the game master shows you the last steps. You can leave the room at any time.
What should we do if we get stuck?
Ask for a hint. The game master follows the game and is available for questions at any time.
Do I need special skills, or must I know the movie?
No. Physical strength and prior knowledge are not needed, not even of the movie a room is based on. Creative thinking, logic and teamwork are what count.
Which language is the game played in?
All six rooms can be played in English or German. Tell us your preferred language when booking.
What is not allowed in the escape room?
Physical force is never needed and not allowed. Please do not bring bags, torches or tools into the room; phones stay in your pocket. Puzzles must not be photographed or filmed. Your own food and drinks, as well as alcohol and drugs before the game, are not allowed.
Do I need special clothing or shoes?
No. Dress as you would for the cinema, as long as you can move comfortably.
Can we play several rooms in a row?
Yes. Book two rooms back to back online, or split a larger group across several rooms at the same time and compare times at the bar afterwards.
Is there anything to win?
No cash or material prizes. You get the experience, your time on the board and the comparison with the other teams at the bar.
Companies and groups
How many people can play at a team event?
Up to 36 people at the same time in six rooms, in teams of 2 to 6. Larger groups up to 60 play in two rounds; the bar & lounge seats around 100.
Can we pay by invoice and is there a meeting room?
Yes. Corporate events are billed by invoice with one contact person. The meeting room with whiteboard and TV is available for half or full day (CHF 240 / 480).
Is Escape City suitable for a Christmas party?
Yes. Apéro with snacks, apéro with pinsa, apéro riche or flying dinner follow the game in the lounge. Book December dates early.
Celebrations
Can we celebrate a birthday and order a cake?

Yes. Packages with prosecco or beer, welcome shot and snacks or pinsa; open until 01:30 on Fridays and 02:00 on Saturdays.
